Karen D. Cox was born on December 8, 1963, in Van Nuys, California. She attended the University of California at Santa Cruz, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987. She received her law degree in 1997 from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board. Ms. Cox is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California.
